چکیده

In this paper, the K-user interference channel with secrecy constraints is considered with delayed channel state information at transmitters (CSIT). We propose a novel secure retrospective interference alignment scheme in which the transmitters carefully mix information symbols with artificial noises to ensure confidentiality. Achieving positive secure degrees of freedom (SDoF) is challenging due to the delayed nature of CSIT, and the distributed nature of the transmitters. Our scheme works over two phases: phase one in which each transmitter sends information symbols mixed with artificial noises, and repeats such transmission over multiple rounds. In the next phase, each transmitter uses delayed CSIT of the previous phase and sends a function of the net interference and artificial noises (generated in previous phase), which is simultaneously useful for all receivers. These phases are designed to ensure the decodability of the desired messages while satisfying the secrecy constraints. We present our achievable scheme for three models, namely: 1) K-user interference channel with confidential messages (IC-CM), and we show that 1 2 ( √ K − 6) SDoF is achievable, 2) K-user interference channel with an external eavesdropper (IC-EE), and 3) K-user IC with confidential messages and an external eavesdropper (ICCM-EE). We show that for the K-user IC-EE, 12 ( √ K − 3) SDoF is achievable, and for the K-user IC-CM-EE, 12 ( √ K−6) is achievable. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first result on the K-user interference channel with secrecy constrained models and delayed CSIT that achieves a SDoF which scales with K, the number of users.

Interference Alignment for the MIMO Interference Channel with Delayed Local CSIT

We consider the MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) Gaussian interference channel with i.i.d. fading across antennas and channel uses and with the delayed local channel state information at the transmitters (CSIT). For the two-user case, achievability results for the degrees of freedom (DoF) region of this channel are provided. We also prove the tightness of our achievable DoF region for some...

Linear Degrees of Freedom of the X-Channel with Delayed CSIT

We establish the degrees of freedom of the two-user X-channel with delayed channel knowledge at transmitters (i.e., delayed CSIT), assuming linear coding strategies at the transmitters. We derive a new upper bound and characterize the linear degrees of freedom of this network to be 65 . The converse builds upon our development of a general lemma that shows that, if two distributed transmitters ...

Interference Alignment with Imperfect Channel Knowledge and Secrecy Constraints pdfsubject=Doctoral Thesis

In this thesis, the degrees of freedom (DOF) of wireless networks are studied with imperfect channel state information at transmitters (CSIT) and/or secrecy constraints. Different interference alignment schemes are proposed to establish the DOF lower bound for a variety of wireless networks. For the imperfections of CSIT, we mainly have two practical concerns. The first concern is the long dela...

On the Degrees of Freedom of SISO X-Channel with Alternating CSIT

In this paper, we establish the degrees of freedom (DoF) of the two-user single input single output (SISO) X-channel with alternating channel state information at the transmitters (CSIT). Three cases are considered for the availability of CSIT; perfect, delayed and no-CSIT. Each state is associated with a fraction of time denoted by λP , λD and λN , respectively. We provide new results for DoF ...

On the Degrees of Freedom of SISO X-networks with Synergistic Alternating Channel State Information at transmitters

In this paper, we consider the two-user single-input single-output (SISO) X-channel and K-user SISO X-network in fast fading environment. It is assumed that the transmitters have access to synergistic alternating channel state information (CSI). Specifically, the CSIT alternates between three states, namely, perfect, delayed and no-CSIT, in a certain manner to enable these states to work togeth...
